Backwell Environment Trust (BET)
Based in the village of Backwell BET manage their own reserves situated on both sides of Cheston Combe Road on Backwell Hill.
Nailsea Environment & Wildlife Trust (NEWT)
Yatton and Congresbury Wildlife Action Group (YACWAG)
Covering the villages of Congresbury and Yatton YACWAG now have eleven reserves from Congresbury over to Yatton Village boundary on Kenn Moor. The group also helps manages other sites for wildlife such as the village church yard and Cadbury Hill
Stockway North Nature Reserve (SNNR)
A former snadstone quarry in the heart of Nailsea, Stockway North is 3/4 of an acre and managed by 'The Friends of Stockway North' who were winners of 'Britain in Bloom' in 2008.
St Georges Flower Bank (StGFB)
A super project set up in 1990 by local residents to protect and enhance road side verges alongside the very busy A369 covering the parishes of Pill and Easton-in-Gordano.
Friends of Trendlewood Park (FOTP)
A group of local Nailsea residents who got together and set up to protect Trendlewood Community Park. This is done by managing wildlife habitat, preserving and promoting the unique geology and industrial heritage of the park.
Community Pollinators Project (CPP)
A project set up by Nailsea resident Gill Brown to promote importance and decline of pollinators to local residents. Gill is already working with North Somerset Council to create a pollinator friendly garden within Nailsea's busy high street.
The Community Farm in Chew Magna
The Farm is a Community Benefit Society and classified as a Social Enterprise and works with schools to encourage more engagement, though wildlife initiatives and other schemes. It is aimed at people from all walks of life and any profit made is put back into making the farms wildlife conservation intiatives.
Friends of Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve (FPWNR)
A group of local residents and wildlife enthusiasts who have come together to promote and enhance this important gateway reserve, which links the Severn Estuary with the Gordano Valley, and to influence its future by liaising with other stakeholders. To bring wildlife and community closer together the Friends are organising a range of activities and produce a fun and informative newsletter.
